About

Founded In 2023, Seasett is a business that weaves together creativity, the beauty of the sea, and a commitment to sustainability. Tony Norman, a seasoned fisherman meticulously handcrafts mats, door stops, art, and more on the Gold Coast, using discarded commercial fishing rope sourced from South Australia Lobster Fisherman.

Tony's passion for fishing originated in South Western Victoria, where he was surrounded by freshwater streams and the ocean. With nearly two decades of experience as a Master, Crew member, and Advanced Rigger, he gained significant expertise in marine and rope work while exploring Australia’s coastlines. His extensive time at sea deepened his appreciation for marine life and heightened his awareness of ocean pollution. Currently, Tony is dedicated to promoting sustainability and encourages individuals to engage in this important mission from the comfort of their homes.

Through strong connections with fishermen, Seasett makes sure that discarded Sea rope is given a second life.
Channelling seafaring expertise into reviving the rope and creating beautiful ocean-inspired home decor.
Each handcrafted item encapsulates the essence of a fisherman, with splices and knots adding extra strength and a nautical touch that will transform your home to that calming seaside vibe.

Did you know?
These local Australian fishermen use non-biodegradable ropes such as polypropylene and polyethylene for there durability and resilience to the elements. Lobster fisherman replace them every season. The discarded ropes end up in landfills and contribute to pollution on our beaches and oceans, posing a threat to marine life if they are not disposed of or utilised correctly.

That's why Tony understands how important it is for you to be a part of something meaningful. By purchasing Seasett's beautiful items you are not only getting a wonderful reminder of what the sea embraces; you also contribute to our mission for sustainability, and together we can contribute towards a healthier coastal environment, helping maintain it for generations to come.
